Hollywood star Keira Knightley had hypnotherapy in 2008 to help her overcome panic attacks and PTSD.

Keira Knightley is famous for films like Bend Like Beckham, Pride & Prejudice and Star Wars.
But behind the Hollywood lifestyle is a woman who has struggled with mental health from the age of 22.

Keira had a mental breakdown in 2007 and was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
She believes the pressure of living in the spotlight contributed to the mental breakdown.
Keira said the paparazzi were determined to see her break down.
“It was big money to get pictures of women falling apart”, Keira said on The Hollywood Reporter‘s “Awards Chatter” podcast.

Keira Knightley had hypnotherapy to help her stand on the red carpet at the 2008 BAFTAs and not have a panic attack.
She said, “hypnotherapy worked because I did stand there and I didn’t have a panic attack.”
